When Does a Business Need Tally Integration or an API Workflow?
Not every business needs an integration. It becomes valuable when information repeatedly crosses the boundary between Tally and another operational system and the manual hand-off is creating delay, duplication or control problems.
Good indicators for integration
- The same information is entered in two systems
- Daily export/import work consumes staff time
- Users frequently miss or duplicate transactions
- Management needs Tally information inside another application
- A portal or app needs controlled posting into Tally
Integration is more than an API call
The technical connection is only one part of the solution. Mapping, validation, duplicate prevention, error handling, logging and business approval rules usually matter more to long-term reliability.
Start with one measurable workflow
A focused first integration such as sales invoices, receipts or master synchronisation is easier to validate than trying to connect every business process at once.
Plan for failures
Network outages, closed Tally companies, invalid masters and changed source data are normal production conditions. A robust design must show what failed and how it can be retried safely.
