Digital Signature in TallyPrime
Understand how digital signatures can be used with TallyPrime invoices and reports, where they are useful, and what a business should prepare before using them.
Where businesses use digital signatures
- Customer invoices shared as signed PDFs
- Statements or reports that need an authenticated electronic copy
- Internal approval or audit workflows where document authenticity matters
- Businesses moving from physical signing to controlled digital document sharing
What to understand before enabling it
A digital signature workflow depends on a valid DSC, the computer on which the certificate is available, the person authorised to use it, and the way invoices or reports are printed, exported, e-mailed or shared. Businesses should also decide whether signing is required for every document or only selected document types.
What this does not replace
A digital signature confirms the authenticity and integrity of the PDF document. It does not replace the accounting controls, voucher approval process, statutory e-Invoice requirements or the need to verify that the invoice data itself is correct before the document is issued.
When ASAPTech can help
If the requirement involves a standard TallyPrime digital-signature setup, the native feature may be enough. If signing has to be combined with a custom invoice format, document workflow, bulk output, user controls or another application, the complete business flow should be evaluated before implementation.
ASAPTech can help evaluate the requirement and suggest the most suitable TallyPrime, TDL, integration or infrastructure approach without overcomplicating the workflow.
