Using TallyPrime Data with Excel, ODBC and BI Tools
Tally data is often needed outside TallyPrime for management dashboards, custom analysis or consolidation. ODBC and other integration methods can expose structured business data without asking users to re-enter it manually.
Common use cases
- Management dashboards in Power BI
- Excel analysis and reconciliation
- Scheduled reporting
- Consolidating selected data with other systems
Choose the right integration method
ODBC can be useful for reporting, while XML, JSON, HTTP or custom integration methods may be better when data needs to move in both directions or follow a business workflow.
Performance and data definition
A reporting project should define the exact fields, date ranges and business logic required. Pulling large unfiltered datasets can be slow and may produce confusing results if Tally concepts are not mapped correctly.
ASAPTech can help evaluate the requirement and suggest the most suitable TallyPrime, TDL, integration or infrastructure approach without overcomplicating the workflow.
